Los Angeles-headquartered coffee shop chain The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is sweetening the deal for its loyalty program members. The company recently announced the launch of its updated rewards program through The Coffee Bean® Rewards app. The revamped loyalty program provides members with many benefits that make earning points easier and faster while receiving more perks, including complimentary beverages and the ability to customize their redemption options.
“The new loyalty program on The Coffee Bean® Rewards app is designed to create a more engaging user experience and ultimately thank our guests for their loyalty with more rewards, points, regular discounts, and guaranteed free drinks,” said Dee Hadley, Head of Marketing, Americas. “It’s also a way for members to discover all the beverages The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has to offer and to explore their favorites over and over again.”
Existing members can get a 50% discount on their next beverage purchase. Meanwhile, new users who sign up for the program by May 7, 2024, will unlock the “Discovery Pass,” which offers new members a free beverage (limitations apply).
Loyalty members can also level up in the coffee shop’s new tiered program and earn five points for every dollar spent. The tiers include:
Purple Tier Membership: This is the first level and doesn’t require a minimum of points. Purple tier members can earn rewards like a Free Drink Modifier for 75 points, a Free Baked Good for 200 points, and a Free Brewed Coffee or Tea for 275 points. They can also get 50% off on the next beverage and a birthday drink.
Silver Tier Membership: To qualify for Silver Tier membership, a member must earn 2,500 points annually. Silver Tier members can receive four free drinks a year and a free birthday drink.
Gold Tier Membership: To satisfy the requirements of a Gold Tier member, a member must earn 5,000 points in a calendar year. Gold Tier membership perks include a free drink each month and a birthday beverage, with no points redemption necessary.
