$1M Donated by Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation®
To help combat food insecurity, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation has donated $1M through grants to organizations and programs serving children and families in need. Partner organizations include Feeding America®, among others. Dunkin’® reports that post-pandemic food costs have contributed to increased food insecurity, noting that as recently as 2022, one in five children were affected.
“Every day, we receive requests from hunger relief organizations nationwide because of their growing needs. We are happy to be able to answer the call and provide grant funding for these crucial programs that provide food access to kids. Hunger impacts countless children in our communities, and a child should never have to go to bed hungry or not know when or where their next meal will come,” says Victor Carvalho, Chairman of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation Board of Directors.
Since 2015, the Foundation has donated close to $15M to support organizations in the U.S. The desire to help local communities is shared by in-store team members, with Dunkin’ franchisees volunteering 30,000 hours in the past nine years.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is launching its inaugural Leap Back campaign just in time for February to celebrate almost three decades of serving guests. J-List loyalty members can enjoy promotions and “themed weeks” throughout the month, with a special Leap Day celebration. On February 29, program members can take advantage of $0.96 treats — a nod to the year the brand was established.
“This new campaign is an opportunity to share with even more people what sets Jeremiah’s Italian Ice apart: our commitment to providing our guests with a fresh, delicious treat experience served alongside five-star customer service that lights up their day. In a year when we gain a day, we’re taking Leap Day to take a look back at where Jeremiah’s has sprung forth from. Leap by leap, we’ve shared countless moments of joy with our guests through the years,” says Michael Keller, CEO of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
“Leap Back, to me, is a celebration of how far Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has come and an exciting way to share this company’s story, and my own story, with our guests,” adds founder Jeremy Litwack.
J-List Rewards members visiting Jeremiah’s Italian Ice on Leap Day will be presented with chances to win retro swag, and one lucky rewards member will walk away with the grand prize, a ‘Sweet’-Stakes VIP Getaway to Orlando, where the member and their guest get to check out what goes on behind the scenes at Jeremiah’s. Leap Day celebrations will include 90s-themed block party-style events at locations in 11 states, with some locations featuring DJs playing 90s music and more. The original Jeremiah’s in Winter Park, FL, will include a screening of a 90s movie on the lawn.
