Jersey Mike’s Promotion Will Raise $1 Million For the Aaron Judge All Rise Foundation
 
Jersey Mike’s has announced it will be donating $1 million to Yankees star Aaron Judge’s ALL RISE Foundation. For this promotion, through June 29 through July 26, 2020, in a partnership with Pepsi and Lay’s as well, customers can order “Aaron’s Way.” Customers that get Aaron’s Way will get access to exclusive content through a QR code on 22-ounce fountain cups.
 
“For my ALL RISE Foundation to be the recipient of $1 million dollar donation from Jersey Mike’s is monumental for us,” said Aaron Judge, New York Yankees star, in a Jersey Mike’s press release. “Even if our organization impacts one kid, one family, it’s making a difference in this world and that’s what it’s all about for me.”
 
Amazon, Lowe's to Pay Bonuses to Essential Workers
 
According to a Fox Business article, both Amazon and Lowe’s are going to give bonuses to essential workers that have been working on the frontlines.
 
"This year has been full of challenges and uncertainty, and we are tremendously grateful for the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our front-line associates," Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison said in a Fox Business article. "At Lowe's, we believe that our homes and our communities unite us, and we thank our associates for providing our customers with essential products and services while supporting our communities and medical professionals."

AMC Theatres Now to Begin Its Reopening of U.S. Theatres on Thursday, July 30
 
AMC Theatres has announced a new reopening date of July 30. On this day, the brand will open 450 locations as a phased plan which will then open essentially all their over 600 locations in early August.  
 
“We continue to devote extraordinary resources into our plan to operate our theatres with a hyper commitment to the safety and health of our guests and associates, notably in the United States through our new AMC Safe & Clean initiative,” Adam Aron, CEO & President, AMC Theatres said, “Our theatre general managers across the U.S. started working full time again today and are back in their theatres gearing up to get their buildings fully ready just a few weeks from now for moviegoers. That happy day, when we can welcome guests back into most of our U.S. theatres, will be Thursday, July 30.”

7-Eleven Goes Contactless in Utah
 
7-Eleven has announced it is starting to offer contactless options for its stores in Utah. This new option, Mobile Checkout, is available through the 7-Eleven app and allows customers to skip the checkout line by shopping and paying for their items using their mobile phone.
 
According to a CSP Daily News article, “7-Eleven said it is using its digital technology to provide a safer shopping environment for Americans adapting to a new way of life. "Now more than ever, customers are looking for an even greater level of convenience, one that includes minimizing contact with others," said 7-Eleven Chief Digital Officer Tarang Sethia. "We want to meet that need during this uncertain time, and Mobile Checkout is one of the innovative ways we can do that."”
 
Impossible Sausage Will Be Available to Any Restaurant That Wants It
 
According to an Engadget article, the Impossible Sausage product will be made available in the warehouses of the country’s largest food distributors and is ready for any restaurant’s orders.
 
“Plant-based meat has experienced a significant rise in consumer interest on Yelp as we’ve seen a 140% increase in review mentions of ‘plant-based’ over the past two years,” said Yelp trend expert, Tara Lewis, in a press release, quoted in an Engadget article. “In fact, Impossible Burger was one of Yelp’s biggest food trends in 2019, and we don’t see that slowing down anytime soon.”
