Starbucks Plans to Reopen 90% of its Company-Operated Stores by Early June
 
According to CNN Business, the coffee giant Starbucks expects to begin reopening stores in the coming days, and 90 percent of its United States company-owned locations operating by June. The article also says drive-thrus will be modified to become more efficient as well as changes to the company's delivery channels. "We do expect the impacts to persist for a longer period of time as we move through the monitor-and-adapt phase," Starbucks Chief Financial Officer Patrick Grismer said in the above CNN article.

According to data from Adobe Analytics, the number of orders placed online and pickup up at stores rose 208 percent between April 1 and April 20, CNBC reported. Online sales have also gone up 49 percent from March 12 to April 11 compared to March 1 to March 11 Adobe said. "I think our retail stores are going to become fulfillment centers," Galleria Dallas' general manager, Angie Freed, said in an interview. "Retailers are trying to figure it out. Some of them are more advanced, more savvy and have better systems in place to handle it. Others are scrambling."

Dunkin' Donuts has announced multiple efforts to help give back to those working on the frontlines helping the sick. One of those is that, for National Nurses Day on May 6, the brand is offering a free medium hot or iced coffee and free donut to all healthcare workers that visit a participating location.
 
Another effort is the "Hero Recharge" Program, which is giving a $200,000 grant to First Descents. First Descents will create the "Hero Recharge" Program, which is meant to leverage adventure-based wellness programs to help healthcare professionals facing traumatic stress by improving their mental health.
