"At Rite Aid, we are focused on providing our customers and communities with the essentials they need during these unprecedented times," said Jim Peters, chief operating officer, Rite Aid, in a press release. "To further enhance our services, we have teamed up with Instacart to offer our customers another convenient method of shopping at Rite Aid from the safety and comfort of home."

The full catalog of healthcare and grocery products are available except for prescription medication. Each Instacart delivery also now defaults to "Leave at My Door Delivery," so both the delivery driver and the customer can maintain social distancing measures.

"We know people and families are depending on delivery to get their groceries and household essentials now more than ever, and we're proud to partner with Rite Aid to offer customers another stay-at-home shopping alternative in the wake of COVID-19," said Nilam Ganenthiran, president of Instacart in the same news release. "Bringing Rite Aid's broad selection of healthcare and grocery products online will give customers more access to the goods they need, delivered directly from the store to their door."

Rite Aid is also trying to make it easy for people to get all of the items they need by allowing home and delivery options. The brand offers drive-thru, curbside, and home delivery. Rite is working to help everyone by enacting better safety measures as well as installing plexiglass barriers at registers. It has started a "pandemic pay" system that ensures associated are paid if employees are diagnosed with COVID-19.

Rite Aid has also started a new service called RediClinic, which the brand says on its website is "a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rite Aid Corporation, launched a new telehealth service, RediClinic@Home. The new virtual health program connects patients to RediClinic clinicians through a video chat using a patient's browser-enabled smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop device. In the comfort and safety of their homes, patients have the ability to check-in and register online. A provider then reviews their intake form from their remote location and initiates the virtual care video visit."
