The exercise brand Peloton has formed a multiyear partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Women’s Basketball Association (WNBA), becoming an official fitness partner of both leagues.
The collaboration will make NBA League Pass, the league’s live game subscription service, available on connected Peloton devices in the platform’s new Entertainment feature. NBA League Pass will start streaming on Peloton bikes, treadmills, and rowers during the 2023-24 season.
Peloton is producing digital content for the upcoming NBA Fitness series on the league’s app. NBA Fitness will feature advice and wellness programs from NBA trainers and coaches. "Peloton is the ideal partner to tip off the launch of NBA Fitness,” said Scott Kaufman-Ross, Senior Vice President, Head of Gaming and New Business Ventures at the NBA.
Peloton is also adding NBA- and WNBA-themed exercise classes to its online library. The company says it will announce more WNBA-specific programming in 2024.
"Peloton Members are NBA and WNBA fans, and this collaboration is going to bring amazing content and experiences to them and all fans of both leagues," said Leslie Berland, Chief Marketing Officer at Peloton. "We have a shared goal to inspire and connect people through fitness, sport and community — we're excited to join forces and achieve exactly that."
