Amazon has announced updates to its Buy with Prime merchant program, which allows external e-commerce sites to offer Amazon Prime member benefits on select items. While shopping off-Amazon, Prime members receive the same free shipping offers, delivery tracking, and return options as they do on Amazon.
With this week’s updates, members can also track their Buy with Prime orders on their Amazon account and get live 24/7 chat support on orders. Amazon has also increased the number of drop-off sites for Buy with Prime returns. Shopper can now view Amazon customer product reviews on participating merchant sites.
“We continue to innovate our Buy with Prime offering so that Prime members get access to an expanded selection and a convenient shopping experience, even when shopping beyond Amazon.com,” said Peter Larsen, Vice President of Buy with Prime at Amazon.
Amazon says offering Buy with Prime helps brands acquire new customers. Data from the company shows that three out of every four Buy with Prime orders are from first-time shoppers.
