Macy’s has named Sharon Otterman the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer. Otterman will assume the leadership role on December 11 and report to Tony Spring, President and CEO-elect of the department store chain.
Otterman will lead Macy’s marketing organization, which manages branding, media strategy, advertising, and customer engagement for the brand. She also will be responsible for leading signature events such as Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, July 4th Fireworks, and annual Spring Flower Show.
“Sharon brings a diverse background in media, entertainment, and digital transformation to Macy’s,” said Spring. “She is a passionate strategist and has a successful track record of evolving brands, developing creative marketing campaigns, and driving profitable growth.”
Otterman has more than 25 years of marking experience in entertainment, media, and sports. She most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Caesars Entertainment, where she launched the sports betting brand Caesars Sportsbook.
The fintech firm Intuit has launched a new offering in its TurboTax product line. TurboTax Live Full Service matches customers with a tax expert with experience in their particular filing situation. The expert interacts with customers via one-way video and prepares their tax return on the same day. Customers may also meet in-person with a local tax preparer certified by the company.
"Now, all tax filers, including those seeking an in-person connection with a local independent tax expert, Spanish-speaking filers, and small business owners will have a TurboTax experience that gives them confidence that their taxes are done right and they are getting their biggest refund guaranteed," said Mark Notarainni, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intuit's Consumer Group,
Customers can request to work with the same tax expert each year. The live services are available to both individual and business filers.
United Supermarkets Rewards Loyalty Members with MasterChef Food Storage Products
The grocery operator United Supermarkets has added a limited time feature to its Rewards! customer loyalty program. With the Fresher For Longer campaign, members earn one MasterChef digital stamp for every $10 spent through January 16. The stamps can be redeemed for seven different MasterChef food storage containers, ranging in retail price from $7.99 to $18.99. Members have until January 30 to redeem their stamps.
