Jersey Mike’s To Honor Student-Athletes With Virtual End-Of-Year Banquet
Jersey Mike’s has announced they are going to honor high school athletes that are going to miss their spring season by hosting an end-of-year virtual banquet through Huddle, Inc. This banquet takes place Wednesday, May 20, at 7 p.m. Eastern. Students from 3,000 different high schools across the country will be invited, and New York Yankees star Aaron Judge will share a personal message to these athletes.
“Student-athletes all over the country have had their seasons abruptly ended due to the coronavirus, and with that the heartbreak of dashed hopes for championships and celebratory banquets,” said Jersey Mike’s Founder and CEO Peter Cancro in a press release. “Hardest hit are our high school seniors who will miss their last varsity seasons. We want to honor these student-athletes for their hard work and dedication.”
Loyalty Programs
MGM, Caesars Update Player Loyalty Programs
Both MGM and Caesars have updated their player loyalty programs. For MGM’s program, M life tier status earned in 2019 or 2020 will now be extended through Monday, January 31, 2022. The earnings year for the brand has also been changed to January 1 through December 31 instead of what it was previously, October 1 to September 30.
In Caesars’ case, it is extending its 2020 status and benefits through Monday, January 31, 2022. The brand is also making it easier to earn different tier statuses.
According to the above article about the Caesars memberships, “Whatever tier level you currently have, you will continue to retain that level through January 31, 2022, but not necessarily the same set of benefits (unless you earned them again through your play during 2020). Should you earn a higher level through your play by December 31, 2020, you will receive that higher level player card, as well as the associated benefits.”
Tesla Jumps to Top Spot in Norway as Automaker with Most Loyal Customers
The Norwegian Customer Barometer has announced that car brand Tesla has the most loyal customers in Norway. According to the above article, Tesla is the only car brand that saw their loyalty rating rise, as all other carmakers had ratings decline. Tesla launched the Model 3 and that was optimized for the country.
According to the article, Pål Silseth, project manager for the Norwegian Customer Barometer, noted in a statement to Dagens Næringsliv that the electric car maker showed a significant recovery from last year’s challenges. “Tesla has recovered after a bang. They delivered many cars in a short time (last year) and were not ready to handle that situation,” the project manager said.
Taco Bell Foundation Providing $11M in Support to Students, Organizations
The Taco Bell Foundation has announced it is giving $3 million in Live Mas scholarships to 622 employees and fans, which range from $2,500 to $5,000. The brand is also offering $8 million in grants to local nonprofits helping youths across the country.
“We are so grateful for the ability to provide light for students during these dark times,” says Tina Nguyen, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation in the above article. “Even under these unfortunate circumstances, students still have dreams and passions they want to pursue, and we’re here to help make that a reality. As students across the country face uncertainty about the future of their education and resources for learning, we hope this financial support will lessen the burden for them and their families.”
