Kohl’s Launches New Loyalty Program

Kohl’s is replacing its Yes2You Rewards program, which enabled customers to earn points for future purchases, with Kohl’s Rewards, where members earn five percent Kohl’s Cash on every deal and receive personalized deals and perks, like a birthday gift. The brand has eliminated points as a part of Kohl’s Rewards and changed its currency into Kohl’s Cash. The company hopes this will make it easier for customers to understand what they’re earning, what they have available and how to redeem it.

The 30 million members of the Yes2You program will be automatically shifted into the new offer. All Kohl's shoppers, including members, will still be able to get $10 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent during Kohl’s Cash promotional event periods.  The new program simplifies Kohl's "overall loyalty proposition" by combining the longstanding Kohl's Cash program with rewards. Members can get reminders on the app, via email and through text messaging.

Domino’s Pizza Rolls Out Electric Vehicle Delivery with Giveaway

Domino’s Pizza is rolling out electric vehicle delivery. More than 100 custom-branded 2023 Chevy Bolt electric vehicles are arriving at select franchise and corporate stores, with an additional 700 rolling out in the coming months, making it the largest electric pizza delivery fleet in the country. In addition, Domino's is launching two giveaways, giving customers the chance to win one of two 2023 Chevy Bolt EVs.

Electric vehicles provide several advantages for Domino's stores, including ample battery life, zero tailpipe emissions, advanced safety features and lower average maintenance costs without the financial impact of high gas prices. Electric fleet vehicles also provide more opportunities to attract delivery drivers who don't have a car of their own.

Walmart Tests Drone Delivery

Walmart is testing drones to deliver goods from a preset menu of items in as few as 30 minutes. The retailer’s pilot program is currently being conducted in six states with market coverage of four million households. The delivery fulfills orders quickly and at a low cost, also allowing for fewer emissions. DroneUp first partnered with Walmart to offer on-demand delivery at three locations in Arkansas and has since expanded to six states reaching 4 million households.

DroneUp has set up a delivery hub at the participating stores, which includes a team of certified pilots that operate within FAA guidelines. The hubs operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to send eligible customers items. Consumers pay a $3.99 delivery fee and can order items totaling up to 10 pounds.
