Claire’s Expands Walmart Partnership

Claire's announced the expansion of its ongoing strategic partnership with Walmart, bringing its fashion accessories and jewelry to more than 1,200 additional Walmart stores. With this rollout, Claire's products are now available in more than 2,500 Walmart stores, on Walmart.com and within more than 360 Claire's store-in-stores in Walmart locations nationwide.

The partnership, which began in 2018, has enabled Claire's to extend its experience-driven shopping environment and piercing services to new and existing Claire's customers. The brand was recognized last year as Walmart's top vendor for jewelry and accessories.
 

Patagonia Donated to Fight Climate Change

Patagonia announced it is donating the entire company to fight climate change. The outdoor apparel company will now be in the hands of a trust and a nonprofit organization. All future profits will be donated to help fight climate change. The Patagonia Purpose Trust will control all voting stock of the company, while the Holdfast Collective, a climate change nonprofit, will own all nonvoting stock.

The company will continue to give 1% of its earnings to grassroots environmental groups, and the leadership will not change with founder Yvon Chouinard as a current board member.
 

Dunkin’ Names New Chief Marketing Officer

Dunkin’ announced that Jill McVicar Nelson has been named Chief Marketing Officer of Dunkin’. As CMO, Nelson will guide advertising, brand marketing, field marketing, strategic planning, product innovation, commercialization, and digital marketing for the Dunkin’ brand.

Most recently, Jill served as VP of Marketing Strategy where she spearheaded the brand’s innovation strategy to attract the next generation of guests through iced beverages and diverse food offerings. Under her leadership, Dunkin’ launched food and beverage platforms like Dunkin’ Refreshers, Cold Brew with Cold Foam, Avocado Toast, Snacking, and more. In this role, Jill also oversaw brand marketing, promotional strategy, and product commercialization.
