Smoothie King and Under Armour are teaming up to try and keep customers in shape during the pandemic, while many ways to do so, including gyms, are still closed for most of the United States. As of Wednesday, April 28, Smoothie King is giving 10,000 of its elite-status Healthy Rewards loyalty members a 90-day free trial of Under Armour’s MapMyRun MVP subscription. The Under Armour subscription has features like unlimited workouts, personal goal-tracking, individual training plans, mobile coaching, live workout tracking, and more.
Also, every Smoothie King Healthy Rewards member will receive access to written and visual fitness content from Under Armour’s MyFitnessPal. Starting now until the end of June, Smoothie King will email all of its loyalty members links to specific content from MyFitnessPal’s catalog of workout backlog.
“As more people search for viable at-home workouts and viral fitness content, Smoothie King is supporting our guests’ healthy and active lifestyles with a convenient, best-in-class resource at an unbeatable value,” says Smoothie King CMO Rebecca Miller in a QSR Magazine article. “By collaborating with Under Armour’s digital apps, we are aligning ourselves with a reputable and respected brand in the fitness space, and we’re also showing our commitment to our Champion loyalty members. We’re saying, ‘Smoothie King is still here for you, and we can still be an integral part of your health and fitness journey during these trying times.’”
To know if you got this offer, Smoothie King will email its Healthy Rewards Champions a unique promo code to a 90-day free trial of the MapMyRun MVP program. The first 10,000 of these members to redeem that offer will receive access.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, Smoothie King has tried to do its part in helping customers and local communities. One of the ways the company has done that is with its $1 million smoothie donation. This donation would go to local hospitals, testing centers, police and fire stations, as well as other essential workplaces in the stores’ local communities nationwide. The brand is also letting customers help with these donations by allowing guests to purchase a 20-oz smoothie for $6 that will go to a healthcare worker on the frontlines.
“Now more than ever, we understand the health of you and your loved ones is of the utmost importance,” said Smoothie King on its website. “We are continuing to make your health and wellness priorities our priority, and we are ramping up our efforts to live our mission. Whether it’s in our stores, on our menu, or in our communities, we are doing what we can to inspire healthy and active lifestyles during this difficult time.”
