Giant Eagle Introduces “Price Lock” Savings on 800 Products 

Giant Eagle, Inc. announced a new “Price Lock" feature on a list of 800 products across its portfolio of brands. The Price Lock will reduce and control prices on grocery essentials and more between May 4 and Aug 9, 2023. 

The new feature comes following recent economic uncertainty and inflation price increases. Giant Eagle hopes to provide value and help to its customers through the current economic season. Consumers can increase savings by adding promotions, sales, and more through the myPerks loyalty program. 


SONIC Drive-In Partners with Sheryl Lee Ralph for Teacher Appreciation Week 

SONIC Drive-In has partnered with Sheryl Lee Ralph — award-winning star of the television show Abbot Elementary — to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. The partnership will raise funds to help educators receive the classroom materials they need. 

The SONIC Foundation will match up to $1.5 million in donations to DonorsChoose. Additionally, SONIC is offering a free cheeseburger with a purchase to all members of the SONIC Teachers’ Circle — a free rewards program exclusively for teachers. 


Retail Touchpoint Releases Study on Sustainable Store Designs 

As sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) grow in popularity among brands and consumers, Retail Touchpoint released a study on customer opinions and experience with sustainable store designs. According to the study, one third of respondents named sustainability as a priority in their brand preferences. 

In Retail Touchpoints paper, the company provides examples and suggestions for retailers looking to make changes to their brick-and-mortar stores. It outlines both the cost-savings and customer loyalty benefits those changes can bring to brands.
