Wawa Plans to Open Tech Hub in Closed Store

Wawa Inc. plans to transform one of their closed locations into a training center for tech workers. The plans are still in the early stages but have the support of the location’s landlord and Chamber of Commerce.

If plans continue, the hub will become a location to train Wawa’s tech employees and welcome students or tech workers from outside organizations. The hub is part of an effort to invest in Philadelphia’s technology talent market.

Starbucks Offers Nationwide DoorDash Delivery

Starbucks and DoorDash will expand their partnership, offering delivery to all 50 states by March 2023. The decision comes after a successful pilot in several major cities across the U.S. in 2022.

Starbucks hopes the partnership will offer greater convenience to customers, improving their overall experience. They specifically developed packaging and procedures to ensure drinks are delivered quickly, securely, and at the correct temperature. Starbucks also integrated 95% of their customization options directly into the DoorDash app.

Just Eat Offers 30-Minute UK Deliveries with Sainsbury

Just Eat Takeaway.com is partnering with UK supermarket Sainsbury to deliver groceries within 30 minutes. Customers using the Just Eat app will have access to 3,000+ options at 175 Sainsbury locations, including major UK cities.

Sainsbury already offers same-day delivery, its own one-hour service, and partners with Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Just Eat, however, reaches 97% of post codes as the largest food delivery service in the UK, and the partnership will expand both Sainsbury’s customer engagement and Just Eat’s influence.
