Albertsons Gamifies Summer Savings 

The popular grocer, Albertsons, is adding a fun way for loyalty members to earn points this summer. The new game on the membership app and website, Flavor Adventure, allows players to unlock minigames, new recipes, digital coupons, and entries into exciting sweepstakes. The game is divided into six “lands” for members to explore. Shoppers can enjoy digital coupons and recipes featuring Albertsons store brands and other fan-favorite labels.  

Flipkart Builds Premium Membership Program  

The Walmart-backed Flipkart has improved its loyalty program to include added benefits like extra discounts, early access to sales promotions, and cashback options. The updated loyalty program is expected to provide up to 5% extra discount on a range of products using SuperCoins, 4% SuperCoins (up to 300) on every order, and new hourly offers—called Plus Hours—exclusively to Premium members, along with daily offers. In August 2021, Flipkart said it had 20 million Plus customers at the time.
