Delta Airlines to Offer Free Wi-Fi

Delta Airlines is expected to offer free wireless internet for its passengers as soon as early 2023. The air carrier is initially expected to offer free Wi-Fi on a significant portion of its airplanes before turning on the service on more of its fleet through next year.

The move is likely to intensify competition over in-flight offerings as airlines rebound from the pandemic. Internet access has been a priority for Delta with premium features that attract higher-paying leisure and business travelers. It has recently been testing offers of free Wi-Fi for any members of its frequent-flier program on  several domestic mainline routes.

Hertz Names Chief Marketing Officer

Hertz has appointed a new Chief Marketing Officer. Veteran marketing and sales executive Wayne Davis will join the company as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective January 3, 2023. In this role, Davis will be responsible for leading the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands and shaping the company's marketing strategy to drive effective brand reach and customer engagement.

Davis joins Hertz with more than 20 years of marketing, sales, and business development experience across multiple industries. For the last four years, he has led the mass premium Café brand for GE Appliances, a Haier Company. Under his leadership, Café has more than tripled in size and is one of the fastest growing brands in the appliance industry.

Antavo Launches New Loyalty Program

Antavo has been chosen as the loyalty partner for GetPlus, Indonesia’s largest coalition loyalty program. GetPlus is a mobile app-based coalition loyalty program in Indonesia where members can earn and redeem points at a wide range of in-store and online partners, including grocery stores, eCommerce stores, apparel brands, travel partners, entertainment brands, food & beverage establishments, and more.

Members can earn up to 10% in reward points on each transaction, plus earn points when they refer their friends to the program, take surveys, or complete actions at Partner Merchant stores. The mobile-based coalition loyalty program is powered by Antavo Enterprise Loyalty Cloud.
