Expedia Expands Access to Travel Services in Europe
The booking platform Expedia has announced new and expanded travel partnerships across Europe. The company says the arrangements will give its European partners greater access to the high-value American traveling demographic.
Ryanair, the continent’s largest low-cost airline, has launched Ryanair Rooms on Expedia, a feature that allows its customers to book hotel rooms with their flights. The German travel agency ADAC has joined Expedia’s agent affiliate program to offer an array of travel services through the company. In 2024, Icelandair will offer loyalty program members access to hotel and rental car bookings from Expedia’s inventory. The company also announced partnerships with several European car rental agencies.
“Our partners benefit from our expanded European footprint with new ways to connect to high spending global travelers, and access to our cutting-edge B2B technology solutions and our industry-leading advertising solutions," said Ariane Gorin, President, Expedia for Business at Expedia Group.

The c-store chain Circle K reports rapid adoption of its fledgling loyalty program. Launched in late spring, Inner Circle now has more than 8 million members across 3,000 of its locations. Data from the initial Florida market launch shows members visit stores more frequently, buy more fuel, and have larger basket sizes than other customers.
"We truly think we've deployed not just a 'me too,' but a really unique program that helps us really focus in on the very valuable customers with a tiered approach," said Brian Hannasch, President and CEO of Circle K parent Alimentation Couche-Tard.
Hannasch said the company is exploring how to personalize offers to increase traffic and enhance members rewards.
