Safeway Partners with YouTube Star Mr. Beast to Donate Over $450,000 in Goods to Charities

The grocery chain Safeway partnered with a popular YouTube personality to donate more than $450,000 in merchandise to local non-profit organizations. Philanthropist and content creator Jimmy Donaldson, known to fans as Mr. Beast, hosted a challenge in which a contestant won $10,000 for each day spent living at a Safeway store. To receive the money, the contestant had to select $10,000 worth of goods to donate to charity each day.

Safeway partnered with the tech firm Copia, which connects food donations to local charities, to identify and manage donation opportunities.
