Old Mutual Partners with Comarch to Launch Loyalty Program in Namibia

The African financial services company Old Mutual has launched its customer loyalty program in Namibia. Powered by the global IT provider Comarch, Old Mutual Rewards issues points for taking online financial assessments, using savings and repayment calculators, and completing education modules. The initiative is the first loyalty program in Southern Africa open to non-customers.

Old Mutual Rewards runs on the Comarch Loyalty Marketing platform, which allows Old Mutual to integrate loyalty programming into its core operations. Comarch hosts a member portal where users can access personalized rewards and incentives — and engage with the company’s products.

The loyalty program already operates in South Africa, where it has over 2 million members. The expansion to Namibia supports the company’s overall growth strategy.

LiptonMart Plans Loyalty Program Amid Expansion

The regional c-store chain LiptonMart plans to launch its first loyalty program to support upcoming expansion into carwashes and fresh food service. The company will open a freestanding, high-volume car wash location by fall 2024 and intends to build more as new properties are acquired. One location in the nine-store chain currently has an attached carwash.

LiptonMart will also add fresh food options, including salads, pizzas, and foods prepared in-store. “We are looking at bundling breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and fresh salads, expanding on what we have now,” said Michael Lipton, CEO of LiptonMart.

The company intends to develop a customer loyalty program that incorporates c-store purchases, gas, and carwashes in reward opportunities. “We are looking at a way we can link them,” Lipton said.

Owned by Lipton Energy, LiptonMart operates in western Massachusetts and Vermont.

Burger King Offers Daily Member Deals for the Holidays

Burger King is offering daily deals to loyalty members through December 31. Royalty Perks members receive offers every day on the program app. Rewards include free menu items, $3 Whoppers every Wednesday, and branded merchandise such as ornaments and apparel.

Burger King will bring back two fan favorites starting December 7, BK Melt sandwiches and Cheesy Tots®. The popular menu items will be available for a limited time.
