The Fuel Rewards Program and Vivid Seats Partner to Help Fans of Live Events Go Further
The Fuel Rewards program has partnered with ticket marketplace Vivid Seats to offer fans of live events savings on fuel costs. Fuel Rewards members will earn 10¢ per gallon savings for every $50 spent on live event tickets at fuelrewards.com/eventtickets. The Fuel Rewards program is redeemable at more than 13,000 Shell stations in the United States. “The Fuel Rewards program is excited to team up with Vivid Seats and bring members big savings at the pump when they purchase tickets to their favorite sporting and concert events,” Bobby Spence, SVP & GM, Fuel Rewards, said in a release.

American Express partners with Ascenda to launch credit card loyalty programs in South Korea
American Express and Ascenda have signed a partnership to jointly launch credit card loyalty programs for banks in South Korea. “Korean consumers are some of the most rewards conscious and digitally savvy anywhere in the world,” said Soomin Om, General Manager, American Express Korea. “The partnership with Ascenda enables us to equip issuing banks with a world class rewards offering that drives customer engagement and purchase volume.”

Amazon just opened a cashierless supermarket
On Tuesday, Amazon launched its first full-size, cashierless supermarket, near its Seattle headquarters. The Amazon Go Grocery store is 10,400 square feet, making it significantly larger than the original Go convenience stores. The new store has approximately 5,000 items and uses on the same cashierless technology in the smaller Go stores. Shoppers can enter and scan the Amazon app on a turnstile and then buy items without waiting in line to check out. “Cameras and other sensors throughout the store monitor which items you take with you and charge you automatically when you leave,” a CNBC.com article states.
