Study Shows 14% Decline in U.S. Customer Loyalty

The marketing consulting firm SAP Emarsys this week released its 2023 Customer Loyalty Index, which studies how consumers engage with brands and trends in customer loyalty.

The study suggests that brands need to offer tangible rewards to keep loyal customers from wandering off. Half of respondents believe that having a loyalty card or account significantly influences their spending with a brand. Furthermore, 43% anticipate better prices as loyal customers, while 46% expect their loyalty to be rewarded with exclusive offers.
