Kroger Health Kicks Off $5 Million #CommunityImmunity Giveaway
Kroger Health, the healthcare division of The Kroger Co. is eager to motivate more Americans to get the COVID-19 vaccine to better protect communities across America. Through the newly launched #CommunityImmunity Giveaway, Kroger Health will provide customers and Kroger Family of Companies associates the opportunity to win life-changing prizes like one of five $1 million checks or one of 50 "groceries for a year." The giveaway starts today and runs through July 10, 2021, with winners scheduled to be selected weekly.
The #CommunityImmunity Giveaway was created by Kroger Health to support the Biden Administration's national effort to have at least 70% of U.S. adults receive their first COVID-19 vaccine dose by July 4.
"Since day one of this pandemic, the Kroger organization's most urgent priority has been the health and safety of our associates, customers, and communities," said Rodney McMullen, Kroger's chairman and CEO. "Kroger's #CommunityImmunity Giveaway is designed to inspire more adults to get vaccinated and help America recover and move ahead."
Kitchen United Launches International Delivery Brand, Camile Thai
Ghost kitchen industry leader Kitchen United and international multi-platform Asian food business Camile Food Group today announced an agreement to launch the purpose and nutrition led brand Camile Thai in the United States with Kitchen United MIX. The delicious and guilt-free Camile Thai arrives in Chicago as a delivery and takeout-only concept, licensing exclusively at Kitchen United MIX locations. The first Camile Thai U.S. location is in Kitchen United’s newly opened Chicago Loop Kitchen Center at 205 W. Wacker Drive, and will serve made to order, plant forward dishes, with a sustainability-focused ethos. The Camile Thai and Kitchen United expansion will continue throughout 2021, with new locations opening in Chicago River North, Pasadena and Austin.
Since opening its first restaurant in 2010, Camile Thai has expanded to 40 locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and has quickly gained popularity as a tech-savvy leader in the food delivery space. Dickey's Barbecue Adds New Virtual Concept Big Deal Burger
QSRmagazine.com reports that Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is taking over as the next big deal in the virtual concept space with the launch of its newest delivery-only brand.
To create a new revenue stream for its franchisees, the world’s largest barbecue concept recently added Big Deal Burger to its growing virtual brand portfolio. The new burger and sandwich concept first launched in Dallas and has since expanded to 45 locations across 12 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming with five more locations opening this month. Since introducing Big Deal Burger, Dickey’s has tripled average weekly volume by store.
