Southeastern Grocers Partners with Animal Rescues
Southeastern Grocers Inc. is raising support for local animal rescues and shelters through its Community Bag program in honor of National Pet Month. Customers can purchase a new reusable community bag in all Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores to help local homeless animals while also benefiting the environment. For every bag purchased, $1 will be directed to each store’s partner animal shelter organization.

Each month, stores will select a new organization to benefit from the program including education, civic, health and wellness, hunger and disaster relief, veterans and military families as well as belonging, inclusion and diversity organizations serving the local community. Additionally, SEG will donate $15,000 in its own brand Whiskers & Tails pet food and supplies to support local pet animal shelters and rescues.

DoorDash Extends its Gas Rewards Program
DoorDash announced an extension of its Gas Rewards program to help drivers offset high fuel prices. The program also offers drivers 10% cash back on gas through the company’s DasherDirect prepaid business Visa card.

DoorDash said over 8600 of its drivers use the card every hour, and 74% surveyed gave the program a good rating or higher. The company will continue to monitor gas prices through the summer, while seeking feedback from its driver community.

Chipotle to Award Free Chipotle for a Year to Medical Professionals
Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it is awarding 2,000 medical professionals with free Chipotle for a year, equivalent to more than $1 million total in free Chipotle. This gesture will mark the most "free Chipotle for a year" awards given out at one time in the brand's history. Fans can tag a healthcare worker on Chipotle’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels for a chance to win in a random drawing.

Additionally, Chipotle is featuring the American Nurses Foundation its real change platform where guests can round-up their change to the next highest dollar amount on the app or website to support nurses.

In 2021, Chipotle gave away 250,000 burritos to healthcare heroes. The brand also launched a gift card program where 10% of special e-gift card purchases were donated to the American Nurses Foundation.
