Forbes.com says 21c Museum Hotels is joining the bandwagon by launching Penguin Passport, a program only open to the first 250 people to join.

The goal of Penguin Passport is to create a curated group of 21c Museum Hotel fans. These boutique properties are known for their individual design, public-area art galleries and a focus on integrating the local area into their design.
 
Groupon Launches New, Personalized User Experience
MarTechSeries.com says that Groupon, which is currently running a four-week So #@$%ing Ready campaign aimed at connecting local merchants with consumers looking to get back to some sense of normalcy, today unveiled a new user experience designed to bring the company’s new inventory offerings to the forefront, drive more engagement and encourage repeat customer purchases.

The reimagined UX follows Groupon’s successful launch of a growth strategy to expand and improve inventory and includes personalized recommendations, streamlined search and buy-it-again features. The goal of these changes is to expand how consumers view Groupon – from an inspiration-only, needs-based marketplace to the ultimate destination for local experiences.
 
Twitter is Buying Scroll that Removes Ads from News Sites
The Verge.com reports that Twitter’s acquisition spree continues today with Scroll, a $5-a-month subscription service that removes ads from participating news sites (including The Verge).

Twitter is working on building out a new kind of subscription plan that will include Scroll, the recently acquired Revue newsletter service, and other homegrown Twitter services. In a blog post announcing the deal, Scroll CEO Tony Haile says that one reason he sold his company is because “Twitter’s ambitions are larger than people suspect.”
