Velvet Taco Hosts Holiday Mystery for Loyalty Members

Members of Velvet Taco’s loyalty program, the Velvet Room, have a mystery to solve this holiday season. Playing off the brand’s “Resist the Ordinary” slogan, the “Who Stole the Spirit of Resistmas?”game invites customers to solve the mystery using clues left in the brand’s emails, social media pages, and restaurants. Players have until December 31 to submit their answer on the brand’s loyalty app.

The first 500 entrants will receive a surprise in-app reward in January, and one winner will receive free tacos for a year.

“At Velvet Taco, we like to challenge the status quo and this holiday season is no different. We wanted to set the brand apart this year by celebrating the holiday spirit in a creative way that only Velvet Taco could imagine,” says Brooke Perry, Vice President of Marketing at Velvet Taco.

Velvet Room members will also receive bonus loyalty points on each visit through December 31, up to 1,000 points.

Visa Launches AI Business Advisory Practice

Payments leader Visa has added an AI advisory practice to its Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) business services. The new practice aims to provide actionable data and recommendations to help clients leverage AI in business operations.

Visa says the company’s collaborative approach empowers clients to develop a responsible AI strategy and meet goals related to customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. The VCA advisory practice maintains 75 offices worldwide with more than 1,000 consultants.

"AI is not just reshaping industries worldwide – it's revolutionizing them, and the payments sector is at the forefront of this transformation," said Carl Rutstein, Global Head of Advisory Services at Visa.

Bilt Rewards Adds Marriott Bonvoy As Point Transfer Partner

The Bilt Rewards program, which issues points on rent payments and co-branded credit card purchases, has added Marriott Bonvoy as a transfer partner. Bilt members can transfer accumulated points to their Bonvoy loyalty account at a 1:1 ratio. In addition, members will receive 5,000 Bonvoy bonus points for every 20,000 points transferred from Bilt in a single transaction.

Founded in 2021, Bilt Rewards now has 15 transfer partners, including American Airlines, Hyatt Hotels, and British Airways. Members earn rewards by making monthly rent payments through the Bilt app and with every purchase on the Bilt Mastercard. Marriot Bonvoy points can be redeemed for stays at over 8,500 properties worldwide.
