Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. is celebrating its first year of partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation by exceeding $1M in donations. Red Robin began the initiative in February 2023, donating 10 cents for every Kid’s Meal purchased to the nonprofit, which grants the wishes of children diagnosed with cancer. The contributions are part of a $3M pledge to Make-A-Wish recipients with critical illnesses. When Red Robin first committed to the cause, it was the largest of its kind in history from a Make-a-Wish partner.

Now, Red Robin hopes to sweeten the deal during World Wish Month, which runs from April 1 to April 30. The Seattle, Washington-based casual dining chain is introducing a limited-edition creation called the Make-a-Wish Dream Soda, a refreshing beverage made from Sprite®, blue raspberry, whipped cream, and a cherry. The beverage will also include a Make-a-Wish stir stick as a souvenir. Red Robin will donate 50 cents from each Make-A-Wish Dream Soda and 10 cents from every Kids’ Meal sold during the year.

“As we celebrate World Wish Month, we believe that every child deserves a chance to experience the joys of childhood, especially when faced with adversity,” said Leslie Motter, Make-A-Wish America’s President and CEO. “Corporate partnerships play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission, and we greatly appreciate Red Robin’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and families across the country.”

“Our partnership with Make-A-Wish holds a special place in my heart,” added GJ Hart, CEO and President of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. “In supporting Make-A-Wish throughout my career and as a former board member of the nonprofit, I’ve seen firsthand the power of these wishes in bringing hope, strength, and support to incredible children who need it most. Partnering with Make-A-Wish allows us to extend our mission of using food to create moments of joy and connection.”

Red Robin also acknowledged its support for Make-A-Wish’s WishMakers Wanted campaign. The campaign seeks to recruit one million people worldwide as WishMakers by the end of World Wish Month, ensuring that every eligible child can experience the transformative power of a wish.
