Vail Resorts recently introduced Epic Mountain Rewards, a program that will provide passholders with a 20 percent discount on food and beverage, lodging, group ski and ride school lessons, equipment rentals, and more at its North American owned and operated resorts.

Epic Mountain Rewards, which will go into effect for the 2020-21 season, is available to anyone who buys an Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, Epic Day Pass, Military Epic Pass and most of the company’s other pass products.

Unlike many loyalty and rewards programs, Epic Mountain Rewards does not require a sign-up and does not have any point collecting or tracking. Guests are automatically enrolled in the program when purchasing most of the Vail Resorts pass products. Members can show their pass at the register when making purchases or by logging into their account for online reservations.

“Last year, we changed the definition of a season pass by launching the Epic Day Pass and giving all skiers and riders the same value and flexibility – even if they only plan to ski or ride one day,” Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts, said in a news release. “Today, we are transforming the breadth of value offered with a pass by providing our pass holders truly epic discounts on their mountain experience.”

The 20 percent discount on food and beverage for the Epic Mountain Rewards program, which goes into effect on Oct. 1, 2020, is available on purchases up to $150 per day at on-mountain quick-service restaurants.

“No other major pass product provides this level of across-the-board savings for skiers and riders – it is completely unique, even across the travel industry,” Lynch added. “I’m especially excited about the simplicity of Epic Mountain Rewards – which requires no points, no requirements – just one of our pass products and, of course, a passion to have an Experience of a Lifetime at one of our resorts.”

Vail Resorts also indicates the Epic Day Pass is customizable and suited for skiers and riders who may not need the traditional season pass. Guests can create their own pass by selecting the number of days (from one to seven) and whether to add holiday access – at any of the company’s North American owned and operated resorts, including destinations such as Vail, Park City, and Breckenridge.

Vail Resorts’ subsidiaries operate 37 world-class mountain resorts and urban ski areas throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.
