A Rewards App with a Bean on Top

Java lovers seeking great coffee, friendly servers, and unique flavors “with a bean on top” have even more to look forward to in 2024. The Human Bean updated its Rewards App, and customers can earn “beans” on purchases at franchise locations. The three-tiered program allows members to earn rewards based on spend and tier level — Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

“As we continue to grow and expand across the U.S., it’s important to us to listen to our customers and learn how we can better serve them,” says Christine Dalrymple, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at The Human Bean. “This new app is one of the ways we’re doing that. We’ve simplified and strengthened our Rewards program so that customers will earn rewards faster and more frequently.”

App users are recognized on their birthdays with free birthday drinks, and earned points allow Rewards members to redeem for gift cards. Special promotions are offered via the app throughout the year.

A Year of Success Celebrated at Southeastern Grocers

Southeastern Grocers Inc. (SEG) has much to celebrate as it exits 2023 and enters 2024. The company counting Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket, and Winn-Dixie grocery stores under its umbrella, engaged in 17 store remodels, opened two new Winn-Dixies, introduced multiple new items for shoppers — including the company’s “Own Brand” products, and expanded online shopping services and curbside pickup at participating locations. Additionally, SEG and the SEG Gives Foundation provided $3.7M+ to over 1,300 community partners in efforts to alleviate hunger, provide support for emergency preparedness and disaster relief, and provide educational scholarships supporting families of fallen and disabled service members. Impactful donations were made to the American Cancer Society and pediatric care facilities, among other organizations and initiatives serving local communities.

“Reflecting on the remarkable journey we’ve taken over the past year, we are immensely grateful for the incredible dedication of our associates and the unwavering support of our loyal customers,” says Raymond Rhee, Chief People Officer for Southeastern Grocers. “Throughout 2023, we celebrated many WINNs as we worked together to improve our stores, support our neighbors, and lend a helping hand to community members in need. As we turn the page on a new chapter in 2024, we look forward to another year of nourishing communities and fostering genuine connections — both inside and outside of our neighborhood stores.”

Multiple awards and recognitions were received by SEG in 2023, including Forbes’ list of Best Brands for Social Impact, Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces, Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Retail, and many more.
